    What if every restaurant just told the state to blow smoke and refusedto comply? Better yet, since it is an unfunded mandate, every restaurant should bill the state for the cost of doing this.

    The food lunatics are in full rabid mode and must be stopped somehow. Seriously, if you eat junk food everyday, do not exercise, develop a bulging to the knees gut, thunder thighs, and a triple barstool caboose, whose fault is it? Next the state will create a special tax on restaurant food to pay for Slim Fast and Nutir-system.

    I just hope that the bill by Sen. Alex Padilla would be signed by Governor Schwarzenegger. This will pave the way for other states to require restaurants to display the calorie counts of their menu offerings, hopefully. I'll definitely keep my eyes on this and see where it goes.
