It would be so much nicer if the consumers dictated this sort of behavior rather than getting the law involved... Only eat at places that show you what's in the product. Unfortunately, a lot of the time people just don't care about what they put in their bodies. Ah well.

I must add here that senators voted 24-13 for the menu labeling measure, SB 1420, which would take full effect in 2011. Padilla said he believes diners will make healthier food choices if they know how many calories they may consume.

Uptil i know there are also small farms out there want to cater to the local hand crafters market and that is where mini mills come in. So the law and decision should be there created for that farms.

As the comments told this will pave the way for other states to require restaurants to display the calorie counts of their menu offerings, hopefully. I'll definitely keep my eyes on this and see where it goes...

The food lunatics are in full rabid mode and must be stopped somehow. Seriously, if you eat junk food everyday, do not exercise, develop a bulging to the knees gut, thunder thighs, and a triple barstool caboose, whose fault is it?
Offering the calorie count on the menu would be very helpful especially for people who are conscious to their health

This new law may look promising, but it still depends if restaurants would heed to their call in order for it to take action, otherwise it will just be another useless law.
