    Just a quick correction: Margarine has always been legal in Quebec. What has changed recently is that the margarine can now be yellow (in the past it had to be white so it wouldn't look like butter - thanks to the dairy farmers lobby).

    Still it's pretty irrelevant, why use margarine when you have butter?
